Daylight is important for human well-being. Over millions of years human beings have evolved to live outside. Our systems are tuned to daylight and the natural cycle. These days, however, we spend over 90% of our time inside buildings. Windows bring a bit of the outside to the inside, no wonder people like to be close to windows. The sunlight coming through the glass, however, also causes problems like glare and overheating. Therefore, shading measures are necessary. Normal blinds, however, close off the windows completely and still allow a lot of heat to enter. The SolarSwing Reflect offers a better solution. Light and transparency are maintained while heat is rejected far more effective.
AUTOMATIC SUN TRACKINGThe Reflect blinds track the sun automatically, executing only one slow and silent motion per day. This is fundamentally different than conventional automated systems that execute swift open-close movements several times a day which is often annoying for the people inside. The Reflect blinds will follow the sun while nobody will notice. |
The SolarSwing Reflect Module is a glass facade, or roofing element with integrated transparent reflect blinds. The blinds and the SolarSwing solar tracking system are integrated between two glass panes in an airtight module. The blinds thereby are shielded from dust and heavy weather and maintenance free. Furthermore, the module offers a high insulation value with a swift mounting time.
The SolarSwing Energy enables buildings to actively use all light that is received from the sun: diffuse light for comfortable natural lighting and direct light for solar power generation. Instead of reflecting light the Energy uses lenses to concentrate light. The lenses focus all incoming direct light on the worlds’ most efficient solar cells. Concerning the development of the Energy SolarSwing cooperates with the Solar Cell Research Group of the Radboud University of Nijmegen.

Binnenzonwering houdt warmte buiten
